BC Lions and C&D Logistics Huddle Up Against Bullying
Doing our part for the community
We at C&D Logistics understand the importance of building a strong community and we are always looking for ways to help organizations that work hard to make a difference.
That is why C&D Logistics is very excited to be part of The BC Lions Football Club’s new initiative “Huddle Up Against Bullying”. C&D Logistics, along with Intact Insurance, Uniglobe Vision Travel and the Province of British Columbia, has teamed up with the BC Lions in the fight against bullying.
The Huddle Up Against Bullying program, one of many Lions community initiatives, will deliver anti-bullying messages to young children (ages 6 to 13) through their popular amateur football programs ‘Play with the Pros’, and ‘Pass and Kick’.
Dana Matheson, President of C&D Logistics says “Bullying is very prevalent amongst children in our community, especially online, and it’s something that is very close to my heart. The Lions can count on C&D Logistics to be a great teammate in this wonderful endeavour to put an end to bullying.”
What our partners are saying
“We are very pleased to add Huddle Up Against Bullying to our roster of Lions community programs. Bullying is a very serious and prevalent issue for today’s youth and we are proud to do our part to educate young people about the consequences of this behavior while equipping them with tools to lessen its impact.”
– Lions director of community relations Jamie Taras
Province of British Columbia
Oakes “British Columbians are painfully aware of the devastating results of bullying, and our government is proud to support this effort through a $40,000 grant. The BC Lions are community leaders who are well-positioned to lead the charge against bullying by empowering kids to speak out against it.”
– Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development Coralee
“We are so excited to be partnering with the BC Lions,” said. “Their Huddle Up Anti-Bullying Campaign aligns with our core values and we’re proud to stand by another team that supports respect, integrity and social responsibility. Both our organizations believe in leading by example and a partnership between two teams that support the same message is a win-win.”
– VP of sales and business development, Western Division, Intact Insurance, Luisa Currie
Uniglobe Vision Travel
“Uniglobe Vision Travel is extremely proud to be involved as a partner in the Huddle Up Against Bullying program with the BC Lions. In today’s society, many teens and others are subject to cruel and unfair treatment by many their own age because of the obscurity of the internet and social media. We hope that by bringing this issue to the forefront, we can be a part in changing this trend.”
– Neal Chark, Senior Travel Consultant
