Customer Service at C&D LogisticsĀ®
When your freight is on the road, you shouldn't have to chase anyone down for an answer. We handle shipments for companies at every stage, from start-ups moving their first pallet to established corporations running full truckload programs, and every one of them gets the same standard of care. Our team has been built around a simple idea: answer the phone, solve the problem, and keep your shipment moving.
How Do I Contact Your Customer Service Department?
Call us directly at 604-881-4440 (toll free at 1-855-334-4440) and you'll reach a real person during our business hours, 5am to 5pm PST, except federal holidays. You can also email info@cdlogistics.ca or reach out through our contact page. Most calls and emails get a response the same business day, and quote requests follow our 30-30 Service Standard: a quote back to you within 30 minutes, and paperwork or processing turned around within another 30.
A Dedicated Point of Contact, Not a Call Queue
Every account with us gets an assigned rep who knows the shipment history, the equipment requirements, and the quirks of how you like to move freight. That means when you call, you're not re-explaining your account from scratch. Your rep coordinates the pieces that matter to a shipment: booking with the right carrier for the freight class and equipment type, confirming accessorials like inside delivery, lift-gate service, or after-hours scheduling, and making sure your documentation (bill of lading, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, carrier manifest, proof of delivery, etc.) is correct before the truck leaves the dock.
What Happens if There's an Issue With Your Shipment?
Freight moves through a lot of hands between pickup and delivery, and occasionally something goes sideways: a pallet arrives with visible damage, a piece is short, or a delivery runs late. Here's how we handle it:
- At delivery: note any visible damage or shortage directly on the delivery receipt before signing. This step protects your ability to file a claim later.
- Call us right away: your account rep opens a claim file and starts coordinating with the carrier the same day, rather than leaving you to deal with the carrier directly.
- Concealed damage: if you discover damage after unpacking, report it to us as soon as possible. Acting quickly gives the claim the best chance of a clean resolution.
- Documentation: we help you assemble what the carrier needs, including the delivery receipt notations, photos, and the original bill of lading, and we support your cargo insurance paperwork throughout.
- Follow-through: your rep tracks the claim to resolution instead of handing you off to a general claims line.
For hazardous materials shipments specifically, our team also handles the additional documentation and placarding requirements up front, so an issue in transit doesn't turn into a compliance problem on top of a claims problem.
Support That Scales With Your Shipment
Whether you're booking a single LTL pallet or coordinating a cross-border truckload move, the support model doesn't change. Domestic Canadian shipments, cross-border Canada-US freight, and international moves by air or ocean all run through the same 30-30 quote standard and the same dedicated rep relationship. If your freight needs flat deck, step deck, double drop, Super-B, or temperature-controlled equipment, tell your rep up front and they'll match the shipment to the right trailer before it's booked, not after.
Got a Question? Here's What We Hear Most
How fast will I hear back after I call or email?
Same business day, in almost every case. Our 5am to 5pm PST hours mean a rep is available for most of the shipping day, and quote requests come back within 30 minutes under our service standard.
What if my shipment is damaged or missing pieces on arrival?
Note it on the delivery receipt before you sign, then call your rep immediately. We open the claim the same day and manage the back-and-forth with the carrier so you're not doing it alone.
Do I get the same rep every time I call?
Yes. Your account is assigned to a specific rep who already knows your shipment history, equipment needs, and documentation preferences, so you're not repeating yourself with a different person each time.
